A graduate of Radcliffe College, Kaledin received her doctorate in American Studies from Boston University in 1977. She taught in the Adult Day Program at Northeastern University (1964-1980) and is the author of The Education of Mrs. Henry Adams (1982) and Mothers and More: American Women in the 1950s (1984).
